Hi, I’m Jesse.

I’m a non-binary parent, Yoga instructor and Tarot reader who uses they/them pronouns.

I’ve had to begin again many times in my life, due to experiences both within and outside of my control, and have been on a journey to recover from complex trauma and gain a better awareness of myself and the world around me through my practice.

I am a hatha yoga instructor with a background in massage therapy, and have specialized in accessible, trauma informed & restorative practices in my 12+ years of teaching.

I work with the archetypes of Tarot & the imminent wisdom of Classical Tantra to offer opportunities on (and off) the yoga mat to remember our true nature, and let go of the “historical fiction” we tell ourselves because of the trauma we have experienced. These are both deeply personal parts of my own healing practice that I am honored to share.

My classes are trauma focused, and enriched by my first hand experience living with C-PTSD (and being on the never-ending healing journey that that brings.) We all deserve to feel at home in our bodies.

Even if you are also recovering from trauma, I might not be the right teacher for you! I have a strong personality & a willingness to wade into “the muck” of relationships that is not for everyone. That’s okay!

However, if you’ve been reading this and what I’m saying is resonating for you, I might be exactly the teacher you’re looking for. I offer an honest, curious & humorous approach to being a person.

I believe that gender is expansive, and that the way we move our bodies should be affirming of that experience. Everything I do is informed by my identity as a queer, neurodivergent, non-binary femme. In 2021 I became a parent, which completely changed my entire perspective on life & how we take care of each other.

I can’t promise you that I will be perfect. I have messed up and will mess up again. Starting over is part of the process. I work with therapists, coaches & teachers of my own to continue to do my own work.

I can promise you I will apologize when I make mistakes, I will seek to understand and listen; and that I will offer my hand to hold when things get messy. I promise to honor your journey as your own, as I hope you honor mine as mine.

If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better, and for hopefully taking a little time to question binary ways of thinking & living.

Liberation for all beings!

As a white person living on unceded Haudenosaunee land, I want to acknowledge my privilege & that I directly benefit from cultures that are not my own. I am committed to the continuous work of decolonizing my heart & my mind, and remain committed to working towards a more just & antiracist world.

Even though I have made, and will continue to make mistakes, my intent is always to use my privilege & platform to protect and uplift the most marginalized among us.
